For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.
I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid?I made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a young woman.
Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels?
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become “fools” so that you may become wise.
What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?What is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts.A person may think their own ways are right, but the Lord weighs the heart.
But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.
Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom.Do not wear yourself out to get rich; do not trust your own cleverness.
If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless.
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?Then what if you see the Son of Man ascend to where he was before!
For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.
One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind.
The rich man's wealth is his strong city, and as an high wall in his own conceit.The wealth of the rich is their fortified city; they imagine it a wall too high to scale.
Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the Lord thy God chasteneth thee.Know then in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the Lord your God disciplines you.
He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity.Whoever loves money never has enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income. This too is meaningless.
Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters.

Only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.But be sure to fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you.
