Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. I thank you and praise you, O God of my fathers, who have given me wisdom and might, and have now made known to me what we desired of you; for you have made known to us the king’s matter. | I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king's matter. |
So that with good courage we say, “The Lord is my helper. I will not fear. What can man do to me?” | So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. |
I will give thanks to you, Yahweh, among the nations. I will sing praises to you among the peoples. | I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations. |
