Bible Verses about 'Wait for better days'
- Wait patiently for the Lord.
Be brave and courageous.
Yes, wait patiently for the Lord. - Don’t long for “the good old days.”
This is not wise. - Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed.
- But now Jesus, our High Priest, has been given a ministry that is far superior to the old priesthood, for he is the one who mediates for us a far better covenant with God, based on better promises.
- It is better to take refuge in the Lord
than to trust in people. - Better to have little, with fear for the Lord,
than to have great treasure and inner turmoil. - Better to have little, with godliness,
than to be rich and dishonest. - Better to be patient than powerful;
better to have self-control than to conquer a city. - I’m torn between two desires: I long to go and be with Christ, which would be far better for me. But for your sakes, it is better that I continue to live.
- Loyalty makes a person attractive.
It is better to be poor than dishonest. - How much better to get wisdom than gold,
and good judgment than silver! - Let all that I am wait quietly before God,
for my hope is in him. - So the Lord must wait for you to come to him
so he can show you his love and compassion.
For the Lord is a faithful God.
Blessed are those who wait for his help. - I am counting on the Lord;
yes, I am counting on him.
I have put my hope in his word. - But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.
- As for me, I look to the Lord for help.
I wait confidently for God to save me,
and my God will certainly hear me. - For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better.
- It is better to be godly and have little
than to be evil and rich.
For the strength of the wicked will be shattered,
but the Lord takes care of the godly. - Choose a good reputation over great riches;
being held in high esteem is better than silver or gold. - Never abandon a friend—
either yours or your father’s.
When disaster strikes, you won’t have to ask your brother for assistance.
It’s better to go to a neighbor than to a brother who lives far away. - I wait quietly before God,
for my victory comes from him. - Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.
- A single day in your courts
is better than a thousand anywhere else!
I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God
than live the good life in the homes of the wicked. - Your unfailing love is better than life itself;
how I praise you!
I will praise you as long as I live,
lifting up my hands to you in prayer. - Teach us to realize the brevity of life,
so that we may grow in wisdom. - Be still in the presence of the Lord,
and wait patiently for him to act.
Don’t worry about evil people who prosper
or fret about their wicked schemes. - Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan River. He was led by the Spirit in the wilderness, where he was tempted by the devil for forty days. Jesus ate nothing all that time and became very hungry.
- So I concluded there is nothing better than to be happy and enjoy ourselves as long as we can. And people should eat and drink and enjoy the fruits of their labor, for these are gifts from God.
- Don’t let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your Creator. Honor him in your youth before you grow old and say, “Life is not pleasant anymore.”
- So if your eye—even your good eye—causes you to lust, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
- Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me
all the days of my life,
and I will live in the house of the Lord
forever. - Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.
- So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.
- You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of complete rest, an official day for holy assembly. It is the Lord’s Sabbath day, and it must be observed wherever you live.
- For the Scriptures say,
“If you want to enjoy life
and see many happy days,
keep your tongue from speaking evil
and your lips from telling lies.
Turn away from evil and do good.
Search for peace, and work to maintain it.” - You must keep my Sabbath days of rest and show reverence for my sanctuary. I am the Lord.
- Go and gather together all the Jews of Susa and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will do the same. And then, though it is against the law, I will go in to see the king. If I must die, I must die.
- In those days when you pray, I will listen.
- The one thing I ask of the Lord—
the thing I seek most—
is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
delighting in the Lord’s perfections
and meditating in his Temple. - Moses remained there on the mountain with the Lord forty days and forty nights. In all that time he ate no bread and drank no water. And the Lord wrote the terms of the covenant—the Ten Commandments—on the stone tablets.
- Lead me by your truth and teach me,
for you are the God who saves me.
All day long I put my hope in you. - Remember to observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of rest dedicated to the Lord your God. On that day no one in your household may do any work. This includes you, your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, your livestock, and any foreigners living among you. For in six days the Lord made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and everything in them; but on the seventh day he rested. That is why the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart as holy.
- Honor your father and mother. Then you will live a long, full life in the land the Lord your God is giving you.
- A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.
- Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled.
- My child, never forget the things I have taught you.
Store my commands in your heart.
If you do this, you will live many years,
and your life will be satisfying. - In the same way, some think one day is more holy than another day, while others think every day is alike. You should each be fully convinced that whichever day you choose is acceptable.
- Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord.
Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly. - So be strong and courageous,
all you who put your hope in the Lord! - ‘I am the Lord your God,’ I told them. ‘Follow my decrees, pay attention to my regulations, and keep my Sabbath days holy, for they are a sign to remind you that I am the Lord your God.’

The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. May the grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.Random Bible Verse
But blessed are those who trust in the Lordand have made the Lord their hope and confidence.
They are like trees planted along a riverbank,
with roots that reach deep into the water.
Such trees are not bothered by the heat
or worried by long months of drought.
Their leaves stay green,
and they never stop producing fruit.Next verse! With image
