Bible Verses about 'War'

Although we are human beings, we do not engage in battle according to human standards. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh.
Even if an army encamps against me, my heart will not succumb to fear; even if war breaks out against me, I will not have my trust shaken.Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
You want something that you cannot have, so you commit murder. And you covet something but cannot obtain it, so you engage in quarrels and fights. You do not have because you do not ask.Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
It is better to be a patient man rather than a warrior, one who controls his temper rather than one who captures a city.He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.
The Lord, your God, is in your midst, a warrior and a savior. He will rejoice over you with gladness and renew you through his love. He will exult over you with shouts of joy.The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.
If a man has recently been married, he is not to go off to battle nor have any other duty laid on him. He will be free to stay at home for one year so that he can bring happiness to the wife whom he has married. When a man hath taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he hath taken.
Now the works of the flesh are obvious: fornication, impurity, licentiousness, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, anger, quarrels, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and the like. I warn you, as I warned you previously, that no one who does such things will inherit the kingdom of God.Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
If you refuse to listen to me and do not sincerely resolve to give glory to my name, says the Lord of hosts, I will send a curse on you, and I will turn your blessings into a curse. Indeed, I have already done so because you have not heeded my warning. If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the Lord of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.
Consider the ravens. They do not sow or reap, they have no storehouse or barn, and yet God feeds them. You are of far greater importance than birds.Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
The reward of humility and fear of the Lord is wealth, honor, and life.By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, and honour, and life.
Two are better than one: they earn a far greater reward for their toil. Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.
And so does kindness, O Lord. You reward each person in accordance with his deeds. Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.
If the world hates you, be aware that it hated me before it hated you.If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
Be on guard against false prophets who come to you disguised in sheep’s clothing, but who inwardly are ravenous wolves.Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
A word is not even on my tongue and you, O Lord, are completely aware of it.For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether.
The prudent man perceives danger and seeks shelter, while the simple continue forward and pay the penalty.A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished.
Through the grace that God has bestowed upon me, I advise every one of you not to think of yourself too highly, but to regard yourself objectively, based on the measure of faith that God has granted. For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
From that day forward Jesus began to proclaim the message: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is close at hand.”From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Call to me and I will answer you and reveal to you great and mysterious secrets about which you are unaware.Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
Behold, I am coming soon, and I will bring with me my reward to repay everyone as his deeds deserve. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
The labors of the wicked man produce little profit, but the one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward. The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward.
I press on toward the finishing line to win the heavenly prize to which God has called me in Christ Jesus.I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Be on your guard that you do not lose what we have worked to accomplish so that you will receive your reward in full.Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
At the time that discipline is received, it always seems painful rather than pleasant, but afterward it yields a harvest of peace and uprightness to those who have been trained by it.Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may show yourselves blameless and beyond reproach, children of God without spot in the midst of an evil and depraved generation, among which you shine like lights in the world as you hold fast tenaciously to the word of life.Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life.

But without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever comes to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
