Bible Verses about 'War'

Although we are human beings, we do not engage in battle according to human standards. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.
Even if an army encamps against me, my heart will not succumb to fear; even if war breaks out against me, I will not have my trust shaken.Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war may rise against me, In this I will be confident.
You want something that you cannot have, so you commit murder. And you covet something but cannot obtain it, so you engage in quarrels and fights. You do not have because you do not ask.You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask.
It is better to be a patient man rather than a warrior, one who controls his temper rather than one who captures a city.He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, And he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.
The Lord, your God, is in your midst, a warrior and a savior. He will rejoice over you with gladness and renew you through his love. He will exult over you with shouts of joy.The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.
If a man has recently been married, he is not to go off to battle nor have any other duty laid on him. He will be free to stay at home for one year so that he can bring happiness to the wife whom he has married. When a man has taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war or be charged with any business; he shall be free at home one year, and bring happiness to his wife whom he has taken.
Now the works of the flesh are obvious: fornication, impurity, licentiousness, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, anger, quarrels, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and the like. I warn you, as I warned you previously, that no one who does such things will inherit the kingdom of God.Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
If you refuse to listen to me and do not sincerely resolve to give glory to my name, says the Lord of hosts, I will send a curse on you, and I will turn your blessings into a curse. Indeed, I have already done so because you have not heeded my warning.“If you will not hear, And if you will not take it to heart, To give glory to My name,” Says the Lord of hosts, “I will send a curse upon you, And I will curse your blessings. Yes, I have cursed them already, Because you do not take it to heart.”
Consider the ravens. They do not sow or reap, they have no storehouse or barn, and yet God feeds them. You are of far greater importance than birds.Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds?
The reward of humility and fear of the Lord is wealth, honor, and life.By humility and the fear of the Lord Are riches and honor and life.
Two are better than one: they earn a far greater reward for their toil. Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor.
And so does kindness, O Lord. You reward each person in accordance with his deeds. Also to You, O Lord, belongs mercy; For You render to each one according to his work.
If the world hates you, be aware that it hated me before it hated you.If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you.
Be on guard against false prophets who come to you disguised in sheep’s clothing, but who inwardly are ravenous wolves.Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
A word is not even on my tongue and you, O Lord, are completely aware of it.For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.
The prudent man perceives danger and seeks shelter, while the simple continue forward and pay the penalty.A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself; The simple pass on and are punished.
Through the grace that God has bestowed upon me, I advise every one of you not to think of yourself too highly, but to regard yourself objectively, based on the measure of faith that God has granted. For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.
From that day forward Jesus began to proclaim the message: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is close at hand.”From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

At the time that discipline is received, it always seems painful rather than pleasant, but afterward it yields a harvest of peace and uprightness to those who have been trained by it.Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may show yourselves blameless and beyond reproach, children of God without spot in the midst of an evil and depraved generation, among which you shine like lights in the world as you hold fast tenaciously to the word of life.Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life.

But without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever comes to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
