We (2/4)

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who in every respect has been tested as we are, yet without sin.For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.
For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. We know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be destroyed, and we might no longer be enslaved to sin.For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin.
If we live by the Spirit, let us also be guided by the Spirit.Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
Beloved, since God loved us so much, we also ought to love one another.Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
But if we walk in the light as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
For as in one body we have many members, and not all the members have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another. For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in you.May your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in you.
Save us, we beseech you, O Lord! O Lord, we beseech you, give us success! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord. We bless you from the house of the Lord.Lord, save us! Lord, grant us success! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. From the house of the Lord we bless you.
We have sinned and done wrong, acted wickedly and rebelled, turning aside from your commandments and ordinances. We have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws.
So teach us to count our days that we may gain a wise heart.Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to make this freewill offering? For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you.But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words. In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.
So we fasted and petitioned our God for this, and he listened to our entreaty. So we fasted and petitioned our God about this, and he answered our prayer.
Restore us, O Lord God of hosts; let your face shine, that we may be saved.Restore us, Lord God Almighty; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved.
For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.
It is that very Spirit bearing witness with our spirit that we are children of God.The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.
For in the one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and we were all made to drink of one Spirit. For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.
Yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.
For we are God's servants, working together; you are God's field, God's building. For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.
What then are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us?What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
If we diligently observe this entire commandment before the Lord our God, as he has commanded us, we will be in the right. And if we are careful to obey all this law before the Lord our God, as he has commanded us, that will be our righteousness.
For this is the message you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. For this is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another.
We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners; yet we know that a person is justified not by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ. And we have come to believe in Christ Jesus, so that we might be justified by faith in Christ, and not by doing the works of the law, because no one will be justified by the works of the law.We who are Jews by birth and not sinful Gentiles know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.

So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me?”So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”

Bible verse of the day

Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity
and passing over the transgression
of the remnant of your possession?
He does not retain his anger forever,
because he delights in showing clemency.
