Bible Verses about 'What'
- What is man, that you think of him?
What is the son of man, that you care for him? - Abba, Father, all things are possible to you. Please remove this cup from me. However, not what I desire, but what you desire.
- He has shown you, O man, what is good.
What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly,
to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God? - For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his life? Or what will a man give in exchange for his life?
- Yahweh is on my side. I will not be afraid.
What can man do to me? - Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing?
- Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil. Cling to that which is good.
- Then what if you would see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?
- The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable,
but the mouth of the wicked is perverse. - For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what you have, not according to what you don’t have.
- Don’t be anxious for your life, what you will eat, nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.
- For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his life?
- Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship do righteousness and iniquity have? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness?
- What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
- Watch therefore, for you don’t know in what hour your Lord comes.
- What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never be!
- In God, I praise his word.
In God, I put my trust.
I will not be afraid.
What can flesh do to me? - Having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.
- So that with good courage we say,
“The Lord is my helper. I will not fear.
What can man do to me?” - He reveals the deep and secret things.
He knows what is in the darkness,
and the light dwells with him. - If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
- Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.”
Dividing his garments among them, they cast lots. - But you go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
- When goods increase, those who eat them are increased; and what advantage is there to its owner, except to feast on them with his eyes?
- What shall we say then? Is the law sin? May it never be! However, I wouldn’t have known sin except through the law. For I wouldn’t have known coveting unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.”
- Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.
- What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? May it never be! We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer?
- He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit’s mind, because he makes intercession for the saints according to God.
- I thank you and praise you,
O God of my fathers,
who have given me wisdom and might,
and have now made known to me what we desired of you;
for you have made known to us the king’s matter. - Only fear Yahweh, and serve him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things he has done for you.
- But when you do merciful deeds, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand does, so that your merciful deeds may be in secret, then your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
- But if we hope for that which we don’t see, we wait for it with patience.
- Now who will harm you if you become imitators of that which is good?
- I am coming quickly! Hold firmly that which you have, so that no one takes your crown.
- Woe to him who strives with his Maker—
a clay pot among the clay pots of the earth!
Shall the clay ask him who fashions it, ‘What are you making?’
or your work, ‘He has no hands’? - Therefore whatever you have said in the darkness will be heard in the light. What you have spoken in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.
- When they lead you away and deliver you up, don’t be anxious beforehand or premeditate what you will say, but say whatever will be given you in that hour. For it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.
- Therefore, as for you, let that remain in you which you heard from the beginning. If that which you heard from the beginning remains in you, you also will remain in the Son, and in the Father.
- But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “Don’t fear what they fear, neither be troubled.”
- Therefore give everyone what you owe: if you owe taxes, pay taxes; if customs, then customs; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.
- But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly as this? For all things come from you, and we have given you of your own.
- While we don’t look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
- But he said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”
- That which makes a man to be desired is his kindness.
A poor man is better than a liar. - See how great a love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God! For this cause the world doesn’t know us, because it didn’t know him.
- Beloved, now we are children of God. It is not yet revealed what we will be; but we know that when he is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him just as he is. Everyone who has this hope set on him purifies himself, even as he is pure.
- To whom God was pleased to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
- Test all things, and hold firmly that which is good. Abstain from every form of evil.
- But say the things which fit sound doctrine.
- But as it is written,
“Things which an eye didn’t see, and an ear didn’t hear,
which didn’t enter into the heart of man,
these God has prepared for those who love him.”
