- But as for you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door, and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.

Your will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.’ - Keep watching and praying, so that you do not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.
- When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they will not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched,
Nor will the flame burn you. - When I am afraid,
I will put my trust in You. - When you make a vow to God, do not be late in paying it; for He takes no delight in fools. Pay what you vow!
- Now in the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
- Blessed are you when the people hate you, and when they exclude you, and insult you, and scorn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man.
- For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised.
- I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.

- I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, so that He may be with you forever.
- I will give thanks to You with uprightness of heart,
When I learn Your righteous judgments. - So when you give to the poor, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, so that they will be praised by people. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full.
- When pride comes, then comes dishonor;
But with the humble there is wisdom. - Even a fool, when he keeps silent, is considered wise;
When he closes his lips, he is considered prudent. - I am not asking You to take them out of the world, but to keep them away from the evil one.
- My soul thirsts for God, for the living God;
When shall I come and appear before God? - And He, when He comes, will convict the world regarding sin, and righteousness, and judgment.
- Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
When it is in your power to do it. - Please, O Lord, do save us;
Please, O Lord, do send prosperity!
Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord;
We have blessed you from the house of the Lord. - When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, namely, the Spirit of truth who comes from the Father, He will testify about Me.
- When I kept silent about my sin, my body wasted away
Through my groaning all day long. - And when they arrest you and hand you over, do not worry beforehand about what you are to say, but say whatever is given you at that time; for you are not the ones speaking, but it is the Holy Spirit.
- Train up a child in the way he should go,
Even when he grows older he will not abandon it. - When my anxious thoughts multiply within me,
Your comfort delights my soul. - So it shall be when he becomes guilty of one of these things, that he shall confess that in which he has sinned.
- But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and as far as the remotest part of the earth.
- Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.
