| Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. | Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy. |

| For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy. | For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. |
| The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy. | Lying lips are abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight. |
| “‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.” | Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. |
| Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. | Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. |
| And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. | But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. |
| One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. | A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. |
| For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. | For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. |
| But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. | But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. |

| Whoever is patient has great understanding, but one who is quick-tempered displays folly. | He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly. |
| And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. | And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. |
