- He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul,
But he who is careless of his ways will die. - He will not allow your foot to be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber. - Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.
- He who is slow to wrath has great understanding,
But he who is impulsive exalts folly. - Oh, how great is Your goodness,
Which You have laid up for those who fear You,
Which You have prepared for those who trust in You
In the presence of the sons of men! - But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.
- A good man deals graciously and lends;
He will guide his affairs with discretion. - Great peace have those who love Your law,
And nothing causes them to stumble. - For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
- Who is wise?
Let him understand these things.
Who is prudent?
Let him know them.
For the ways of the Lord are right;
The righteous walk in them,
But transgressors stumble in them. - Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.
- Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
- Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
- A man who has friends must himself be friendly,
But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. - But He said, “More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”
- Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good;
Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! - Woe to him who strives with his Maker!
Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth!
Shall the clay say to him who forms it, ‘What are you making?’
Or shall your handiwork say, ‘He has no hands’? - He who walks uprightly,
And works righteousness,
And speaks the truth in his heart;
He who does not backbite with his tongue,
Nor does evil to his neighbor,
Nor does he take up a reproach against his friend. - The Lord redeems the soul of His servants,
And none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned. - Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.
- Every word of God is pure;
He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. - He who walks with integrity walks securely,
But he who perverts his ways will become known. - He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
- Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
- Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him.
