| But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine. | But as for you, speak the things which are proper for sound doctrine. |

| He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? | He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? |
| Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. | Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. | Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the Lord are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein. | Who is wise? Let him understand these things. Who is prudent? Let him know them. For the ways of the Lord are right; The righteous walk in them, But transgressors stumble in them. |
