- You have been born anew, not of perishable but of imperishable seed, through the living and enduring word of God.
- Jesus answered, “As it is written:
‘Man does not live by bread alone,
but by every word that comes forth from the mouth of God.’ ” - Every word you utter is true,
and all your righteous judgments are everlasting. - And the Word became flesh
and dwelt among us.
And we saw his glory,
the glory as of the Father’s only Son,
full of grace and truth. - And whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
- Therefore, rid yourselves of everything sordid and of every wicked excess, and welcome in all humility the word that is implanted in you and is able to save your souls.
- Make every effort to present yourself before God as one who is worthy of his approval, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, but who imparts the word of truth without any alteration.
- When they had finished their prayer, the place where they were gathered together shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and proclaimed the word of God fearlessly.
- So shall my word be
that issues forth from my mouth.
It will not return to me unfulfilled,
but it will accomplish my purpose
and achieve what I sent it forth to do. - Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the Church and gave himself up for her in order to sanctify her by cleansing her with water and the word.

- Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
- Jesus answered him,
“Whoever loves me will keep my word,

and make our abode with him.” - By his own choice he gave us birth through the way of truth so that we may be a kind of firstfruits of all his creation.
- Indeed, the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any two-edged sword, it pierces to the point where it divides soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and the intentions of the heart.
- Therefore say to them, “Thus says the Lord God: The fulfillment of my words will not be delayed any longer. What I have said will be done now. This is the word of the Lord God.”
- Then Jesus said to those Jews who did believe in him,
“If you remain faithful to my word,
you will truly be my disciples.
You will know the truth,
and the truth will set you free.” - Let the word of Christ with all its richness dwell in you. Teach and admonish one another in all wisdom, singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God with gratitude in your hearts.
- He is the reflection of God’s glory
and the perfect expression of his very being,
sustaining all things by his powerful word.
Achieving purification from sins,
he took his seat at the right hand of the Majesty on high. - Preach the message; be persistent in doing so, whether in season or out of season; convince, reprove, and encourage, but with great patience and instruction.
- He brought you low, allowing you to suffer from hunger. He then fed you with manna, something with which your fathers were not familiar, so that you might come to know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes forth from the mouth of the Lord.
- Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may show yourselves blameless and beyond reproach, children of God without spot in the midst of an evil and depraved generation, among which you shine like lights in the world as you hold fast tenaciously to the word of life.
- This is the Lord’s message to Zerubbabel: Not by force, nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.
- Let no foul word ever pass your lips. Say only what is useful for edification, so that your words may benefit your listeners.
- The way of God is blameless,
and the Lord’s promise proves true;
he is a shield to all
who flee to him for safety.
