- In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
- Thy word is a lamp unto my feet,
and a light unto my path. - Thou art my hiding place and my shield:
I hope in thy word. - I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait,
and in his word do I hope. - Thy word have I hid in mine heart,
that I might not sin against thee. - For the word of the Lord is right;
and all his works are done in truth. - Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop:
but a good word maketh it glad. - He sent his word, and healed them,
and delivered them from their destructions. - But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
- Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way?
by taking heed thereto according to thy word. - Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
- But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
- The grass withereth, the flower fadeth:
but the word of our God shall stand for ever. - Every word of God is pure:
he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. - He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
- For there is not a word in my tongue,
but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether. - So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
- Order my steps in thy word:
and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. - And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
- By the word of the Lord were the heavens made;
and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. - A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth:
and a word spoken in due season, how good is it! - But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
- In God I will praise his word,
in God I have put my trust;
I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. - A soft answer turneth away wrath:
but grievous words stir up anger. - My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.Preserve me, O God:
for in thee do I put my trust. Since thou wast precious in my sight,
thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee:
therefore will I give men for thee,
and people for thy life.Next verse!With image
