- But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.

For you will render to a man
according to his work. - As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it proves unfruitful.

- He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit.
- So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it God rested from all his work that he had done in creation.
- The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me;
your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever.
Do not forsake the work of your hands. - Your word is a lamp to my feet
and a light to my path. - For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?
- And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
- I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
and in his word I hope. - Because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.
- The Rock, his work is perfect,
for all his ways are justice.
A God of faithfulness and without iniquity,
just and upright is he. - Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, for all his works are right and his ways are just; and those who walk in pride he is able to humble.
- You are my hiding place and my shield;
I hope in your word.
