  • I cried out to him with my mouth;
    his praise was on my tongue.
  • The Lord is my strength and my shield;
    my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.
    My heart leaps for joy,
    and with my song I praise him.
  • Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
  • Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise;
    his greatness no one can fathom.
  • Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!”
  • Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be.
  • Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.
  • I will extol the Lord at all times;
    his praise will always be on my lips.
  • I love the Lord, for he heard my voice;
    he heard my cry for mercy.
    Because he turned his ear to me,
    I will call on him as long as I live.
  • But I trust in your unfailing love;
    my heart rejoices in your salvation.
    I will sing the Lord’s praise,
    for he has been good to me.
  • The heavens declare the glory of God;
    the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
    Day after day they pour forth speech;
    night after night they reveal knowledge.
  • Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.
  • Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
  • After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”
  • Who is he, this King of glory?
    The Lord Almighty—
    he is the King of glory.
  • I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart;
    I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.
  • I will praise you, Lord, among the nations;
    I will sing of you among the peoples.
  • Not to us, Lord, not to us
    but to your name be the glory,
    because of your love and faithfulness.
  • At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship and said:
    “Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
    and naked I will depart.
    The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away;
    may the name of the Lord be praised.”
  • My lips will shout for joy
    when I sing praise to you—
    I whom you have delivered.
  • Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior,
    who daily bears our burdens.
  • I will exalt you, my God the King;
    I will praise your name for ever and ever.
  • Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.
  • By day the Lord directs his love,
    at night his song is with me—
    a prayer to the God of my life.
  • Whom have I in heaven but you?
    And earth has nothing I desire besides you.

I will praise you with an upright heart
as I learn your righteous laws.
