- By day the Lord directs his love,
at night his song is with me—

and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests. - Teach me your way, Lord,
that I may rely on your faithfulness;
give me an undivided heart,
that I may fear your name. - Help us, God our Savior,
for the glory of your name;
deliver us and forgive our sins
for your name’s sake. - But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.
