You have called me into your kingdom (2/4)

  • Blessed are the peacemakers,
    for they shall be called sons of God.
  • Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to confirm your calling and election, for if you practice these qualities you will never fall. For in this way there will be richly provided for you an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
  • But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”
  • From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
  • The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.
  • Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
  • For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
  • I came from the Father and have come into the world, and now I am leaving the world and going to the Father.
  • He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
  • But as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”
  • Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake,
    for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
  • O Lord, you have searched me and known me!
    You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
    you discern my thoughts from afar.
  • Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
  • But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
  • You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace.
  • To this he called you through our gospel, so that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
  • Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.
  • I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.
  • And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
  • By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.
  • If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother.
  • Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
  • His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’
  • Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

You have given me the shield of your salvation,
and your right hand supported me,
and your gentleness made me great.
You gave a wide place for my steps under me,
and my feet did not slip.
