| And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that. | And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same. |
| If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. | If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. |

| You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. | Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. |

| For you, God, tested us; you refined us like silver. | For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried. |
| Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you. | And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee. |
| When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways. | Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities. |
| Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? | Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? |
| You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things. | Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. |
| Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. | Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. |
| I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.” | O my soul, thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee. |
| You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. | O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. |
| Seek good, not evil, that you may live. Then the Lord God Almighty will be with you, just as you say he is. | Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the Lord, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken. |
| You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. | And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. |
| The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. | And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed. |

| You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water. | O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is. |
| And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever. | And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever. |
| To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps. | For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps. |
| For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. | For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. |
