- I have swept away your transgressions like a cloud
and your sins like a mist.
Return to me,
for I have redeemed you. - I will make haste and not delay
to observe your precepts. - Come to your senses and sin no more. For some of you have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
- Nor would someone light a lamp and then put it under a basket; rather, it is placed upon a lampstand so that it may afford light to all in the house. In the same way, your light must shine so that it can be seen by others; this will enable them to observe your good works and give praise to your Father in heaven.
- It was not their own swords that won them the land,
nor did their own arms make them victorious;
rather, it was your right hand and your arm
and the light of your face,
because you loved them. - The Lord will fulfill his plan for me.
Your kindness, O Lord, endures forever;
do not forsake the work of your hands. - Fear not, little flock, for your Father has chosen to give you the kingdom.
- Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath in honor of the Lord your God. You shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male slave, nor your female slave, nor your animals, nor the foreigner who dwells with you. The Lord made the heavens and the earth and the seas and that which is in them in six days, but he rested the seventh day. Thus, the Lord blessed the Sabbath and declared it to be sacred.
- Your word is a lamp for my feet
and a light to my path. - Let no one regard you with contempt because of your youth, but serve as an example to the believers in your speech and conduct, in your love, your faith, and your purity.
- Banish grief from your heart
and ignore the sufferings of your body,
for youth and the prime of life are fleeting. - You will show me the path to life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence
and everlasting delights at your right hand. - Thus you could understand that the Lord, your God, was disciplining you, just like a father disciplines his son.
- When you search for me, you will find me. When you seek me with all your heart.
- Jesus then said to her, “Do not hold on to me, because I have not yet ascended to my Father. But go to my brethren and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’ ”
- Repent, therefore, and be converted so that your sins may be wiped away.
- I am now about to go the way of all upon the earth. You know very well in your hearts and your souls that not one of the good things that the Lord, your God, promised you has failed to take place. Every promise has been fulfilled, not one of them has been broken.
- Let no foul word ever pass your lips. Say only what is useful for edification, so that your words may benefit your listeners.
- Wash yourselves and become clean;
remove your evil deeds
far from my sight.
Cease to do evil. - Place your hope in the Lord:
be strong and courageous in your heart,
and place your hope in the Lord. - Therefore, prepare your minds for action. Be calm and fix your hopes completely on the grace that you will be granted at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
- If you forgive others for the wrongs they have done, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
- In much the same manner
will wisdom be sweet to your soul.
If you find it, you will have a future,
and your hope will not be cut off. - You are my refuge and my shield;
I put my hope in your word. - Do not worry about anything, but present your needs to God in prayer and petition, with thanksgiving. Then the peace of God, which is beyond all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
