- With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful;
with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright. - And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
- For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
- Labour not to be rich:
cease from thine own wisdom. - And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
- Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
- And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
- Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
- Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
- Delight thyself also in the Lord:
and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. - For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
- Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him. Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord.
- For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
- Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
- But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
- Put away from thee a froward mouth,
and perverse lips put far from thee. - But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
- Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another.
- He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul:
he that keepeth understanding shall find good. - And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
- It is a snare to the man who devoureth that which is holy,
and after vows to make enquiry. - Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
- Wash you, make you clean;
put away the evil of your doings
from before mine eyes;
cease to do evil. - If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
- Turn us again, O Lord God of hosts,
cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us. He giveth power to the faint;
