- Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.
- Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings;
and the years of thy life shall be many. - Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
- The wise in heart will receive commandments:
but a prating fool shall fall. - Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.
- Take with you words, and turn to the Lord: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.
- To do justice and judgment
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. - The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable:
but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness. - Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
- Let the words of my mouth,
and the meditation of my heart,
be acceptable in thy sight,
O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer. - Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works.
- I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
- For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.
- And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
- He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction:
but he that refuseth reproof erreth. - But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.
- Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
- My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord;
neither be weary of his correction:
For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth;
even as a father the son in whom he delighteth. - He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
- And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.
- Behold that which I have seen: it is good and comely for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labour that he taketh under the sun all the days of his life, which God giveth him: for it is his portion.
The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom;
and before honour is humility. Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.Next verse!With image
