- Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them.
- Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and all that is within me,
bless his holy name. - May God continue to bless us;
let all the ends of the earth revere him. - So then let us not fall asleep as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober.
- For you bless the righteous, O Lord;
you cover them with favor as with a shield. - I will bless the Lord at all times;
his praise shall continually be in my mouth. - I will extol you, my God and King,
and bless your name forever and ever. - May the Lord give strength to his people!
May the Lord bless his people with peace! - Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility regard others as better than yourselves.
- But I punish my body and enslave it, so that after proclaiming to others I myself should not be disqualified.
- When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you, to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways.
- But if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
- You shall worship the Lord your God, and I will bless your bread and your water; and I will take sickness away from among you.
- But I say to you that listen, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you.
- In everything do to others as you would have them do to you; for this is the law and the prophets.
- The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you;
the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace. - For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
- The fear of others lays a snare,
but one who trusts in the Lord is secure. - Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
So I will bless you as long as I live;
I will lift up my hands and call on your name. - Save us, we beseech you, O Lord!
O Lord, we beseech you, give us success!
Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord.
We bless you from the house of the Lord. - He was despised and rejected by others;
a man of suffering and acquainted with infirmity;
and as one from whom others hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him of no account. - Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, will be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
- A generous person will be enriched,
and one who gives water will get water. - If you obey the commandments of the Lord your God that I am commanding you today, by loving the Lord your God, walking in his ways, and observing his commandments, decrees, and ordinances, then you shall live and become numerous, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land that you are entering to possess.
- And whenever you fast, do not look dismal, like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces so as to show others that they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward.
Therefore you have no excuse, whoever you are, when you judge others; for in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, are doing the very same things.This God—his way is perfect;
the promise of the Lord proves true;
he is a shield for all who take refuge in him.
