- Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised;
and his greatness is unsearchable. - He loveth righteousness and judgment:
the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord. - O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good;
for his mercy endureth for ever. - Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.
- The name of the Lord is a strong tower:
the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. - For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light.
- Wait on the Lord: be of good courage,
and he shall strengthen thine heart:
wait, I say, on the Lord. - Arise, shine; for thy light is come,
and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. - The fear of man bringeth a snare:
but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe. - This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him,
and saved him out of all his troubles. - For the Lord is our judge,
the Lord is our lawgiver,
the Lord is our king;
he will save us. - Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
- Many are the afflictions of the righteous:
but the Lord delivereth him out of them all. - Lying lips are abomination to the Lord:
but they that deal truly are his delight. - O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name:
make known his deeds among the people. - Turn ye unto me, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the Lord of hosts.
- The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
- For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,
saith the Lord. - So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
- And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
- Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things:
this is known in all the earth. - I have set the Lord always before me:
because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. - Like as a father pitieth his children,
so the Lord pitieth them that fear him. - For thou wilt light my candle:
the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness. - Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him,
upon them that hope in his mercy.
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
