Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Family'
- And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
- And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
- But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
- Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
- As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
- My son, keep thy father's commandment,
and forsake not the law of thy mother. - Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
for brethren to dwell together in unity! - If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
- But the mercy of the Lord is
from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him,
and his righteousness unto children's children;
To such as keep his covenant,
and to those that remember his commandments to do them. - Can a woman forget her sucking child,
that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb?
yea, they may forget,
yet will I not forget thee.
Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands;
thy walls are continually before me. - Train up a child in the way he should go:
and when he is old, he will not depart from it. - And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
- Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
- Children's children are the crown of old men;
and the glory of children are their fathers. - And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
- And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.
- A friend loveth at all times,
and a brother is born for adversity. - For thus saith the Lord unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live.
- The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us.
- A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly:
and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. - Thine own friend, and thy father's friend, forsake not;
neither go into thy brother's house in the day of thy calamity:
for better is a neighbour that is near than a brother far off. - Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
- If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
- The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice:
and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him. - My son, if thine heart be wise,
my heart shall rejoice, even mine.
Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone.For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.
