- All deeds are right in the sight of the doer,
but the Lord weighs the heart. - You who live in the shelter of the Most High,
who abide in the shadow of the Almighty,
will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.” - Who is it that conquers the world but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
- Is not this the fast that I choose:
to loose the bonds of injustice,
to undo the thongs of the yoke,
to let the oppressed go free,
and to break every yoke? - Just as you do not know how the breath comes to the bones in the mother's womb, so you do not know the work of God, who makes everything.
- For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the children of God.
- Looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the sake of the joy that was set before him endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God.
- The spirit of the Lord God is upon me,
because the Lord has anointed me;
he has sent me to bring good news to the oppressed,
to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and release to the prisoners. - He was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread nor drank water. And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.

- So, if they say to you, ‘Look! He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look! He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
- I have set my bow in the clouds, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth.
- If we live by the Spirit, let us also be guided by the Spirit.
- To you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is the Messiah, the Lord.
- The human mind plans the way,
but the Lord directs the steps. - And this good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the world, as a testimony to all the nations; and then the end will come.
- For so the Lord has commanded us, saying,
‘I have set you to be a light for the Gentiles,
so that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’ - When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who comes from the Father, he will testify on my behalf.
- For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our ruler,
the Lord is our king; he will save us. - Happy are those whose way is blameless,
who walk in the law of the Lord.
