- Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.
- When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone.

- No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.
- Surely God is my help;
the Lord is the one who sustains me. - These are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

my hope comes from him. - To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

you refined us like silver. - And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families of their own.

Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,

so that all the ends of the earth will fear him. - Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
- A mediator, however, implies more than one party; but God is one.
Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.Next verse!With image
