- The Lord is merciful and gracious,
slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. - For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.
- Nevertheless for thy great mercies' sake thou didst not utterly consume them, nor forsake them; for thou art a gracious and merciful God.
- The words of a wise man's mouth are gracious;
but the lips of a fool will swallow up himself. - The Lord bless thee, and keep thee:
The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. - And rend your heart,
and not your garments,
and turn unto the Lord your God:
for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and of great kindness,
and repenteth him of the evil. - And therefore will the Lord wait,
that he may be gracious unto you,
and therefore will he be exalted,
that he may have mercy upon you:
for the Lord is a God of judgment:
blessed are all they that wait for him. - The Lord is righteous in all his ways,
and holy in all his works. - Pleasant words are as an honeycomb,
sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. - Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
- Teach me to do thy will;
for thou art my God:
thy spirit is good;
lead me into the land of uprightness. - The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again:
but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth. - A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth:
he will guide his affairs with discretion. - For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
- Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
- But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
- Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the Lord;
and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you:
for I am merciful, saith the Lord,
and I will not keep anger for ever. - Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
- Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
- Have mercy upon me, O God,
according to thy lovingkindness:
according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies
blot out my transgressions.
Wash me throughly from mine iniquity,
and cleanse me from my sin.
Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
