Chinese (traditional)- You shall not hate in your heart anyone of your kin; you shall reprove your neighbor, or you will incur guilt yourself. You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against any of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord.
- Banish anxiety from your mind, and put away pain from your body; for youth and the dawn of life are vanity.
- He said, “Then put away the foreign gods that are among you, and incline your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.”
- May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ.
- Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me.
- I delight to do your will, O my God;
your law is within my heart. - Keep these words that I am commanding you today in your heart. Recite them to your children and talk about them when you are at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise.
- “Ananias,” Peter asked, “why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back part of the proceeds of the land? While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, were not the proceeds at your disposal? How is it that you have contrived this deed in your heart? You did not lie to us but to God!”
- So now, O Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? Only to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments of the Lord your God and his decrees that I am commanding you today, for your own well-being.
- Turn my heart to your decrees,
and not to selfish gain. - So that, with the eyes of your heart enlightened, you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance among the saints.
- I treasure your word in my heart,
so that I may not sin against you. - My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. - I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go;
I will counsel you with my eye upon you. - Truly I tell you, if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and if you do not doubt in your heart, but believe that what you say will come to pass, it will be done for you.
- Your decrees are my heritage forever;
they are the joy of my heart. - With my whole heart I seek you;
do not let me stray from your commandments. - Teach me your way, O Lord,
that I may walk in your truth;
give me an undivided heart to revere your name. - I will praise you with an upright heart,
when I learn your righteous ordinances. - For one believes with the heart and so is justified, and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved.
- I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart;
I will tell of all your wonderful deeds. - Rend your hearts and not your clothing.
Return to the Lord, your God,
for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love,
and relents from punishing. - The good person out of the good treasure of the heart produces good, and the evil person out of evil treasure produces evil; for it is out of the abundance of the heart that the mouth speaks.
- Lead me in your truth, and teach me,
for you are the God of my salvation;
for you I wait all day long. - Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
Go, eat your bread with enjoyment, and drink your wine with a merry heart; for God has long ago approved what you do.And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, just as we abound in love for you.
