- Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
- O God, thou art my God;
early will I seek thee:
my soul thirsteth for thee,
my flesh longeth for thee
in a dry and thirsty land,
where no water is. - Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
- Why art thou cast down, O my soul?
and why art thou disquieted within me?
hope thou in God:
for I shall yet praise him,
who is the health of my countenance, and my God. - Blessed are the peacemakers:
for they shall be called the children of God. - For thou, O God, hast proved us:
thou hast tried us, as silver is tried. - Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
- And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
- For thou wilt light my candle:
the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness. - Create in me a clean heart, O God;
and renew a right spirit within me. - And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
- Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace, good will toward men. - As the hart panteth after the water brooks,
so panteth my soul after thee, O God. - Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
- In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
- Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
- For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.
- Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let thy glory be above all the earth. - Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
- So we fasted and besought our God for this: and he was intreated of us.
- God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
- Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens:
and thy glory above all the earth. - I will extol thee, my God, O king;
and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. - If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
