Chinese (traditional)- I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living! - Whom have I in heaven but you?
And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. - I have made a covenant with my eyes;
how then could I gaze at a virgin? - He must increase, but I must decrease.
- Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed;
save me, and I shall be saved,
for you are my praise. - I have set the Lord always before me;
because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken. - For I will satisfy the weary soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish.
- I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart;
I will recount all of your wonderful deeds. - Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love,
for in you I trust.
Make me know the way I should go,
for to you I lift up my soul. - I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
I have no good apart from you.” - I have taught you the way of wisdom;
I have led you in the paths of uprightness. - Jesus then said, “I will be with you a little longer, and then I am going to him who sent me.”
- I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples;
I will sing praises to you among the nations. - For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
- Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
- But as for me, I will look to the Lord;
I will wait for the God of my salvation;
my God will hear me. - For I will be merciful toward their iniquities,
and I will remember their sins no more. - Return, faithless Israel,
declares the Lord.
I will not look on you in anger,
for I am merciful,
declares the Lord;
I will not be angry forever. - Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge.
- Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
So I will bless you as long as I live;
in your name I will lift up my hands. - I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.
- I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you with my eye upon you. - Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.
- Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.
- I love the Lord, because he has heard
my voice and my pleas for mercy.
Because he inclined his ear to me,
therefore I will call on him as long as I live.
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.Delight yourself in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.Next verse!With image
