Chinese (traditional)- Go and learn what this means, ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have come to call not the righteous but sinners.
- I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
- I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing.
- Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them? says the Lord. Do I not fill heaven and earth? says the Lord.
- I had eaten no rich food, no meat or wine had entered my mouth, and I had not anointed myself at all, for the full three weeks.
- I know what it is to have little, and I know what it is to have plenty. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret of being well-fed and of going hungry, of having plenty and of being in need.
- And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it.
- But I trusted in your steadfast love;
my heart shall rejoice in your salvation.
I will sing to the Lord,
because he has dealt bountifully with me. - For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.
- Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I fear no evil;
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff—
they comfort me. - One thing I asked of the Lord,
that will I seek after:
to live in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to behold the beauty of the Lord,
and to inquire in his temple. - I delight in the way of your decrees
as much as in all riches. - When I thought, “My foot is slipping,”
your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up. - Listen! I am standing at the door, knocking; if you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to you and eat with you, and you with me.
- You call me Teacher and Lord—and you are right, for that is what I am.
- You shall be holy to me; for I the Lord am holy, and I have separated you from the other peoples to be mine.
- For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
- Because you are precious in my sight,
and honored, and I love you,
I give people in return for you,
nations in exchange for your life. - I have come to call not the righteous but sinners to repentance.
- I have said this to you, so that in me you may have peace. In the world you face persecution. But take courage; I have conquered the world!
- I stretch out my hands to you;
my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Selah - With the Lord on my side I do not fear.
What can mortals do to me? - But I do not count my life of any value to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the good news of God's grace.
- To the one who conquers I will give a place with me on my throne, just as I myself conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.
- You have already been cleansed by the word that I have spoken to you.
Live by the Spirit, I say, and do not gratify the desires of the flesh. Jesus said to him, “Go; your faith has made you well.” Immediately he regained his sight and followed him on the way.Next verse!With image
