- Ever since the creation of the world his eternal power and divine nature, invisible though they are, have been understood and seen through the things he has made. So they are without excuse.
- And every tongue should confess
that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father. - Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat and drink sweet wine and send portions of them to those for whom nothing is prepared, for this day is holy to our Lord; and do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
- The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,

- To do righteousness and justice
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. - Give justice to the weak and the orphan;
maintain the right of the lowly and the destitute. - Thus he has given us, through these things, his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may escape from the corruption that is in the world because of lust, and may become participants of the divine nature.
- I will sing to the Lord as long as I live;
I will sing praise to my God while I have being. - O give thanks to the Lord, call on his name,
make known his deeds among the peoples. - The unfolding of your words gives light;
it imparts understanding to the simple. - O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
for his steadfast love endures forever. - Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
- You show me the path of life.
In your presence there is fullness of joy;
in your right hand are pleasures forevermore. - For your steadfast love is as high as the heavens;
your faithfulness extends to the clouds. - For what will it profit them to gain the whole world and forfeit their life?
- May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
- Because I delivered the poor who cried,
and the orphan who had no helper.
The blessing of the wretched came upon me,
and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy. - The precepts of the Lord are right,
rejoicing the heart;
the commandment of the Lord is clear,
enlightening the eyes. - Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.”
- For we have become partners of Christ, if only we hold our first confidence firm to the end.
- But those who do what is true come to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that their deeds have been done in God.
- To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
