- For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.
- You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

When your judgments come upon the earth,
the people of the world learn righteousness. - See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
- Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great:
He appeared in the flesh,
was vindicated by the Spirit,
was seen by angels,
was preached among the nations,
was believed on in the world,
was taken up in glory.
My lips will shout for joy
when I sing praise to you—
I whom you have delivered.You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
