Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”
What is desirable in a person is loyalty, and it is better to be poor than a liar.What is desired in a man is steadfast love, and a poor man is better than a liar.
God is not a human being, that he should lie, or a mortal, that he should change his mind. Has he promised, and will he not do it? Has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? He entered the house of God, when Abiathar was high priest, and ate the bread of the Presence, which it is not lawful for any but the priests to eat, and he gave some to his companions.” Then he said to them, “The sabbath was made for humankind, and not humankind for the sabbath; so the Son of Man is lord even of the sabbath.”One Sabbath he was going through the grainfields, and as they made their way, his disciples began to pluck heads of grain. For what will it profit them if they gain the whole world but forfeit their life? Or what will they give in return for their life?For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?

Wealth is a ransom for a person's life, but the poor get no threats.The ransom of a man's life is his wealth, but a poor man hears no threat.
