Wealth is a ransom for a person's life, but the poor get no threats.The ransom of a man's life is his wealth, but a poor man hears no threat.
With the Lord on my side I do not fear. What can mortals do to me?The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?
It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in mortals.It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.

Or can one walk on hot coals without scorching the feet?Or can one walk on hot coals and his feet not be scorched?
All deeds are right in the sight of the doer, but the Lord weighs the heart.Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the heart.
It is honorable to refrain from strife, but every fool is quick to quarrel.It is an honor for a man to keep aloof from strife, but every fool will be quarreling.
It is well with those who deal generously and lend, who conduct their affairs with justice.It is well with the man who deals generously and lends; who conducts his affairs with justice.
So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me?”So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”
Each of you, however, should love his wife as himself, and a wife should respect her husband.However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
Do not let loyalty and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The clever see danger and hide; but the simple go on, and suffer for it.The prudent sees danger and hides himself, but the simple go on and suffer for it.

The human mind plans the way, but the Lord directs the steps.The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.
So God created humankind in his image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
Fools show their anger at once, but the prudent ignore an insult.The vexation of a fool is known at once, but the prudent ignores an insult.
Jesus said to him, “Go; your faith has made you well.” Immediately he regained his sight and followed him on the way.And Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he recovered his sight and followed him on the way.

Some friends play at friendship but a true friend sticks closer than one's nearest kin.A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
