- For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.
- And rend your hearts and not your garments.
Return to the Lord your God,
for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love;
and he relents over disaster. - Let the wicked forsake his way,
and the unrighteous man his thoughts;
let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him,
and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. - That their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God's mystery, which is Christ.
- The heart of man plans his way,

for they shall be called sons of God. - Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.
- For the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true.
- For he satisfies the longing soul,
and the hungry soul he fills with good things. - How can a young man keep his way pure?
By guarding it according to your word. - O Lord, all my longing is before you;
my sighing is not hidden from you. - Open your mouth, judge righteously,
defend the rights of the poor and needy. - Heal the sick in it and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
- Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil.
- I will be glad and exult in you;
I will sing praise to your name, O Most High. - For we are God's fellow workers. You are God's field, God's building.
- And Jesus said to him, “‘If you can’! All things are possible for one who believes.”
- Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to confirm your calling and election, for if you practice these qualities you will never fall. For in this way there will be richly provided for you an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
- Honor the Lord with your wealth
and with the firstfruits of all your produce. - If one turns away his ear from hearing the law,
even his prayer is an abomination. - Then you will understand righteousness and justice
and equity, every good path. - I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart;
I will recount all of your wonderful deeds. - And in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side. And he called out, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the end of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in anguish in this flame.’
- And being made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him.
- Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!
Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem!
Behold, your king is coming to you;
righteous and having salvation is he,
humble and mounted on a donkey,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
