Chinese (traditional)- I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart;
I will tell of all your wonderful deeds. - A person may think their own ways are right,
but the Lord weighs the heart. - Teach us to number our days,
that we may gain a heart of wisdom. - My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart
you, God, will not despise. - The wise in heart accept commands,
but a chattering fool comes to ruin. - Before a downfall the heart is haughty,
but humility comes before honor. - Teach me your way, Lord,
that I may rely on your faithfulness;
give me an undivided heart,
that I may fear your name. - The tongue of the righteous is choice silver,
but the heart of the wicked is of little value. - Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’
- The heart is deceitful above all things
and beyond cure. Who can understand it?
“I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind,
to reward each person according to their conduct,
according to what their deeds deserve.” - May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart
be pleasing in your sight,
Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. - May he give you the desire of your heart
and make all your plans succeed. - Though an army besiege me,
my heart will not fear;
though war break out against me,
even then I will be confident. - Go, eat your food with gladness, and drink your wine with a joyful heart, for God has already approved what you do.
- “Even now,” declares the Lord,
“return to me with all your heart,
with fasting and weeping and mourning.” - For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
- The precepts of the Lord are right,
giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are radiant,
giving light to the eyes. - Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.
- If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
- But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.
- See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.
- My son, pay attention to what I say;
turn your ear to my words.
Do not let them out of your sight,
keep them within your heart. - Know then in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the Lord your God disciplines you.
- But be sure to fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you.
- Search me, God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.
Acknowledge and take to heart this day that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth below. There is no other.But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.” Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”Next verse!With image
