- Be mindful of your mercy, O Lord, and of your steadfast love,
for they have been from of old.
Do not remember the sins of my youth or my transgressions;
according to your steadfast love remember me,
for your goodness' sake, O Lord! - Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
So I will bless you as long as I live;
I will lift up my hands and call on your name. - May mercy, peace, and love be yours in abundance.
- And now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is love.
- Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
my whole life long. - No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God lives in us, and his love is perfected in us.
- Above all, maintain constant love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins.
- Let all that you do be done in love.
- Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
- I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another.
- Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who maintains covenant loyalty with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations.
- Those who say, “I love God,” and hate their brothers or sisters, are liars; for those who do not love a brother or sister whom they have seen, cannot love God whom they have not seen.
- But I will sing of your might;
I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning.
For you have been a fortress for me
and a refuge in the day of my distress. - If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love.
- Hatred stirs up strife,
but love covers all offenses. - The Lord is good,
a stronghold in a day of trouble;
he protects those who take refuge in him. - The commandment we have from him is this: those who love God must love their brothers and sisters also.
- Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful.
- And the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of a father's only son, full of grace and truth.
- Rend your hearts and not your clothing.
Return to the Lord, your God,
for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love,
and relents from punishing. - Let love be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good.
- This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
- And a second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
- Beloved, since God loved us so much, we also ought to love one another.
- Great peace have those who love your law;
nothing can make them stumble.
No one has greater love than this, to lay down one's life for one's friends.See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God; and that is what we are. The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
