- God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble. - For the same reason you also pay taxes, for the authorities are God's servants, busy with this very thing.

Everyone who commits sin is a child of the devil; for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The Son of God was revealed for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.Hence, as to the eating of food offered to idols, we know that “no idol in the world really exists,” and that “there is no God but one.”
