- Those who believe in him are not condemned; but those who do not believe are condemned already, because they have not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

- A generous person will be enriched,
and one who gives water will get water. - So we have known and believe the love that God has for us.
God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them. - Like a city breached, without walls,
is one who lacks self-control. - Jesus answered them, “Very truly, I tell you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin.”
- To get wisdom is to love oneself;
to keep understanding is to prosper. - The commandment we have from him is this: those who love God must love their brothers and sisters also.
- The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice;
he who begets a wise son will be glad in him. - Wealth hastily gotten will dwindle,
but those who gather little by little will increase it. - When words are many, transgression is not lacking,
but the prudent are restrained in speech. - But the one who endures to the end will be saved.
- They who have my commandments and keep them are those who love me; and those who love me will be loved by my Father, and I will love them and reveal myself to them.
- Those who say, “I love God,” and hate their brothers or sisters, are liars; for those who do not love a brother or sister whom they have seen, cannot love God whom they have not seen.
- Everyone then who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock.
- The lover of money will not be satisfied with money; nor the lover of wealth, with gain. This also is vanity.
