- So if I, the Lord and the Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.
- For Your goodness is great to the heavens
And Your truth to the clouds. - Watch the path of your feet,
And all your ways will be established. - Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight. - Come close to God and He will come close to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
- Honor the Lord from your wealth,
And from the first of all your produce. - For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways
And My thoughts than your thoughts. - Let your eyes look directly ahead
And let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you. - My son, comply with the commandment of your father,
And do not ignore the teaching of your mother. - Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the Lord and turn away from evil.
It will be healing to your body
And refreshment to your bones. - Knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.
- Having cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares about you.
- But as for you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that your fasting will not be noticed by people but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.
- Go then, eat your bread in happiness, and drink your wine with a cheerful heart; for God has already approved your works.
- Pray, then, in this way:
‘Our Father, who is in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.’ - Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought for a price: therefore glorify God in your body.
- The sum of Your word is truth,
And every one of Your righteous judgments is everlasting. - Wives, be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and do not become bitter against them.
- The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
- But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul.
- But as for you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door, and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.
- But when you give to the poor, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your charitable giving will be in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.
- Teach me to do Your will,
For You are my God;
Let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground. - Do not abandon your friend or your father’s friend,
And do not go to your brother’s house on the day of your disaster;
Better is a neighbor who is near than a brother far away. - Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.
