- Sober up, as you rightly ought to, and sin no more, for some people have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.

return to me, for I have redeemed you. - In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
- While I kept silent, my body wasted away
through my groaning all day long. - You want something and do not have it, so you commit murder. And you covet something and cannot obtain it, so you engage in disputes and conflicts. You do not have because you do not ask.
- Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us.
- But if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
- Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.
