- There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus.
- He sat down, called the twelve, and said to them, “Whoever wants to be first must be last of all and servant of all.”
- Before the mountains were brought forth,
or ever you had formed the earth and the world,
from everlasting to everlasting you are God. - O Lord, you have searched me and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from far away. - Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised;

but those who hate to be rebuked are stupid. - Come to a sober and right mind, and sin no more; for some people have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
- Even before a word is on my tongue,
O Lord, you know it completely. - For what human being knows what is truly human except the human spirit that is within? So also no one comprehends what is truly God's except the Spirit of God.
- Our God is in the heavens;
he does whatever he pleases. - Then the other disciple, who reached the tomb first, also went in, and he saw and believed; for as yet they did not understand the scripture, that he must rise from the dead.
