- A wise son brings joy to his father,
but a foolish son brings grief to his mother. - Who is wise? Let them realize these things.
Who is discerning? Let them understand.
The ways of the Lord are right;
the righteous walk in them,
but the rebellious stumble in them. - Eloquent lips are unsuited to a godless fool—
how much worse lying lips to a ruler! - He who forms the mountains,
who creates the wind,
and who reveals his thoughts to mankind,
who turns dawn to darkness,
and treads on the heights of the earth—
the Lord God Almighty is his name.
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever.
