- Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent,
and discerning if they hold their tongues. - Whoever is patient has great understanding,
but one who is quick-tempered displays folly. - Blessed are those who find wisdom,

Then I will pour out my thoughts to you,
I will make known to you my teachings. - The father of a righteous child has great joy;
a man who fathers a wise son rejoices in him. - Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.
- A fool spurns a parent’s discipline,
but whoever heeds correction shows prudence.
