Chinese (traditional)Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God, and God in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us. Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. The Lord redeems the life of his servants;
none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned. And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, as we do for you. Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Let no one seek his own good, but the good of his neighbor. But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. You are a hiding place for me;
you preserve me from trouble;
you surround me with shouts of deliverance. Selah For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. Whoever covers an offense seeks love,
but he who repeats a matter separates close friends. Who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began. Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
whose trust is the Lord.
He is like a tree planted by water,
that sends out its roots by the stream,
and does not fear when heat comes,
for its leaves remain green,
and is not anxious in the year of drought,
for it does not cease to bear fruit. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. For he satisfies the longing soul,
and the hungry soul he fills with good things. Whoever walks in integrity walks securely,
but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out. For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace. For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
forever. Keep steady my steps according to your promise,
and let no iniquity get dominion over me. For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. For we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content. The wise of heart will receive commandments,
but a babbling fool will come to ruin. The Lord is merciful and gracious,
slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you. My son, do not despise the Lord's discipline
or be weary of his reproof,
for the Lord reproves him whom he loves,
as a father the son in whom he delights. The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God. Make your face shine on your servant;
save me in your steadfast love! You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone. To him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.
