Chinese (traditional)Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How inscrutable are his judgments and how unfathomable his ways! Jesus replied,
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father
except through me.” Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. You received without payment; give in the same way. Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting,
but the woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. The love of the Lord is never exhausted,
nor do his deeds of mercy ever come to an end.
They are renewed every morning;
his faithfulness never ceases. For God did not send his Son into the world
to condemn the world
but in order that the world might be saved through him. For this day in the city of David there has been born to you a Savior who is Christ, the Lord. It is better to have a little and fear the Lord
than to possess immense wealth and suffer anguish. For a child has been born to us,
a son has been given to us.
Upon his shoulders dominion rests,
and this is the name he has been given:
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. For everything there is a season,
and a time for every activity under heaven. One who gossips reveals secrets,
but a trustworthy man keeps things hidden. And if then my people who bear my name humble themselves and pray to me and seek my presence as they turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear them from heaven and forgive their sins and restore their land. And God said, “Behold, I give you every plant that produces seeds upon the earth and every tree that has fruit with its seed inside of it: these shall be your food.” There is only one thing I ask of the Lord,
just one thing I seek:
to dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
so that I may enjoy the beauty of the Lord
and gaze on his temple. I rejoice in the Lord with all my heart;
my soul exults in my God.
For he has clothed me in garments of salvation
and wrapped me in a robe of saving justice,
like a bridegroom adorned with a garland
or a bride bedecked with her jewels. Therefore, now that we have been justified by faith, we are at peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Indeed, who is God except the Lord?
Who is the Rock besides our God? You want something that you cannot have, so you commit murder. And you covet something but cannot obtain it, so you engage in quarrels and fights. You do not have because you do not ask. I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything impossible for me to accomplish? It is rash to pledge a sacred gift,
or to make a vow and then have second thoughts. For all of us fall short in many ways. Anyone who never makes a mistake in speech has reached perfection and is able to control every part of his body. So then, faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the word of Christ. Great is the Lord and worthy of the highest praise;
no one can even begin to comprehend his greatness. This is how we can be certain
that we abide in him
and that he abides in us:
he has given us a share in his Spirit. Seek peace with everyone, as well as the holiness without which no one will ever see the Lord. The words of a wise man win favor,
but a fool’s tongue is his undoing. The end of all things is near. Therefore, lead disciplined lives and be watchful in prayer. If you abide in me
and my words abide in you,
you may ask for whatever you wish,
and it will be done for you. Where many words are spoken, sin is not absent,
but whoever restrains his tongue is prudent. Hence, be subject to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Then Jesus said to him,
“You have come to believe
because you have seen me.
Blessed are those who have not seen
and yet have come to believe.” Deceit is in the heart of those who plot evil,
but those who counsel peace have joy. The love of the Lord is never exhausted,
nor do his deeds of mercy ever come to an end.
They are renewed every morning;
his faithfulness never ceases.Next verse!With image
