Chinese (traditional)For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory. He who covers an offense promotes love;
but he who repeats a matter separates best friends. Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, then you shall be my own possession from among all peoples; for all the earth is mine. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he will exalt you. I acknowledged my sin to you.
I didn’t hide my iniquity.
I said, I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh,
and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah. Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. The wise in heart accept commandments,
but a chattering fool will fall. Always rejoice. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you. But as for me, I will look to Yahweh.
I will wait for the God of my salvation.
My God will hear me. Guide me in your truth, and teach me,
for you are the God of my salvation.
I wait for you all day long. “If you will not listen, and if you will not take it to heart, to give glory to my name,” says Yahweh of Armies, “then I will send the curse on you, and I will curse your blessings. Indeed, I have cursed them already, because you do not take it to heart.” They said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” Whom do I have in heaven?
There is no one on earth whom I desire besides you. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. “Yahweh is my portion,” says my soul.
“Therefore I will hope in him.” A gentle tongue is a tree of life,
but deceit in it crushes the spirit. God is faithful, through whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. But to you who fear my name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in its wings. You will go out and leap like calves of the stall. My son, don’t despise Yahweh’s discipline,
neither be weary of his correction;
for whom Yahweh loves, he corrects,
even as a father reproves the son in whom he delights. Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Know therefore today, and take it to heart, that Yahweh himself is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath. There is no one else. Honor Yahweh with your substance,
with the first fruits of all your increase. So that with good courage we say,
“The Lord is my helper. I will not fear.
What can man do to me?” “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are expedient. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be brought under the power of anything. Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
but Yahweh delivers him out of them all. God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen. Don’t envy the man of violence.
Choose none of his ways.
For the perverse is an abomination to Yahweh,
but his friendship is with the upright. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Don’t be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
