Chinese (traditional)One who brings gossip betrays a confidence,
but one who is of a trustworthy spirit is one who keeps a secret. May mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you. The heart is deceitful above all things
and it is exceedingly corrupt.
Who can know it?
“I, Yahweh, search the mind.
I try the heart,
even to give every man according to his ways,
according to the fruit of his doings.” For he will never be shaken.
The righteous will be remembered forever. Therefore give everyone what you owe: if you owe taxes, pay taxes; if customs, then customs; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor. Preach the word; be urgent in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort with all patience and teaching. When goods increase, those who eat them are increased; and what advantage is there to its owner, except to feast on them with his eyes? Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. Enter in by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter in by it. How narrow is the gate and the way is restricted that leads to life! There are few who find it. Then you will understand righteousness and justice,
equity and every good path. But the end of all things is near. Therefore be of sound mind, self-controlled, and sober in prayer. If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Yahweh’s blessing brings wealth,
and he adds no trouble to it. For which of you, desiring to build a tower, doesn’t first sit down and count the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it? But you, beloved, keep building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in God’s love, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life. A wise son makes a glad father;
but a foolish son brings grief to his mother. “No weapon that is formed against you will prevail;
and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment.
This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants,
and their righteousness is of me,” says Yahweh. Beloved, if our hearts don’t condemn us, we have boldness toward God; so whatever we ask, we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing in his sight. Preserve me, God, for I take refuge in you. Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me? When Jesus heard it, he said to them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do.” My son, attend to my words.
Turn your ear to my sayings.
Let them not depart from your eyes.
Keep them in the center of your heart. For even though the fig tree doesn’t flourish,
nor fruit be in the vines,
the labor of the olive fails,
the fields yield no food,
the flocks are cut off from the fold,
and there is no herd in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in Yahweh.
I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “Don’t fear what they fear, neither be troubled.” Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stand on the path of sinners,
nor sit in the seat of scoffers. He said, “That which proceeds out of the man, that defiles the man. For from within, out of the hearts of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, sexual sins, murders, thefts, covetings, wickedness, deceit, lustful desires, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, and foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile the man.” He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. For in much wisdom is much grief; and he who increases knowledge increases sorrow. Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or scared of them, for Yahweh your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man will see the Lord. So teach us to count our days,
that we may gain a heart of wisdom. He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to the whole creation.” We know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and he who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him.Next verse!With image
