Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock. Teach me to do thy will;
for thou art my God:
thy spirit is good;
lead me into the land of uprightness. Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification. Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. For who is God, save the Lord?
and who is a rock, save our God? Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let thy glory be above all the earth. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us. He only is my rock and my salvation:
he is my defence; I shall not be moved. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise. He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty;
and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city. See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. For thy mercy is great unto the heavens,
and thy truth unto the clouds. Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. Why art thou cast down, O my soul?
and why art thou disquieted within me?
hope thou in God:
for I shall yet praise him,
who is the health of my countenance, and my God. For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth. This also cometh forth from the Lord of hosts,
which is wonderful in counsel,
and excellent in working. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous,
and his ears are open unto their cry. And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.Next verse!With image
